Erasmus+ project: digital guides for seniors
We have joined the European project Digital Creativity Guides for Seniors, carried out under the Erasmus+ programme in cooperation with Fundacja Mapa Pasji (the Map of Passions Foundation) and partners from Greece, Cyprus and the Czech Republic.
The aim of the project is to produce guidance for people who act as digital guides for older people, as well as a creative development platform for seniors.
The guides, developed by Fundacja Rozwoju Przez Całe Życie (Continuum Foundation) among others, are intended to support facilitators and carers working with older people in local cultural centres and non-governmental organisations in European Union countries.
These publications will be aimed at people and organisations looking for new methods, digital tools and ideas they can offer seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic. The idea is to awaken in seniors who are at risk of social and digital exclusion the courage to engage with the digital world, as well as creativity inspired above all by online cultural resources in the broadest sense.
Ultimately, these activities aim to involve older people in creating various forms of art and handicraft, and to encourage them to share their achievements online with other seniors on safe internet platforms.
